[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s ages since I heard from Suqqu so I was very happy to receive samples of their new lipstick – Suqqu Moisture Glaze Lipstick. Designed to ‘glaze’ the lips with a translucent, blurring balm, it’s really the perfect texture for anyone who likes their lips to have some ‘slip’ and feel protected, thanks to squalane.

These new lipsticks join the core range. The texture is the big sell for me – so melty on the lips. It’s a balm created from a ‘thick’ oil that adheres well to the lips creating a rich film. According to the brand, they use spherical powder particles which allow the wax to melt so well and give a level of translucency – they’re not completely translucent like a gloss might be but there is definitely a lightness to the colours that make them very wearable, even if you’re lipstick shy.

This is KOITSUMUGI – an orange coral that looks to me like it has a slightly golden edge to it. You can see the light bounce – perfect!

This is YOUYUKARI – not a colour that I’d usually pick out for myself but I like it well enough that I’ll wear it again when I can tear myself away from oranges!

This is HANAOBORO – a kind of brown/mauve/grey that I will give a lot of love to over the summer. I feel a bit washed out for it so far but the self-tans are starting to arrive so once I begin to try them, this will have another outing. The way that Suqqu works now is that you buy the holder separately to the lipsticks so that you can just use a refill rather than buying the whole thing again. The holder is £6 and the refills (10 shades) are £30 each HERE.
