Sleek MakeUP Brow Intensity

Sleek MakeUP Brow Intensity

So, this isn’t a pretty story. I tested out the new Sleek MakeUP Brow Intensity double enders yesterday and – disaster. Before I even start on the highlighter section breaking straight away, I just don’t get the brush. I’m the first to say I’m no brow expert but there’s a sort of solid sponge cone at the end of a mascara brush that lays down so much product it’s actually scary which you are then supposed to brush through with the mascara bit. You would be a million times better off just brushing with an unused mascara brush, because – angles. It’s really hard to use tidily and brows really need precision.

I tried both the Black and the Brown and what I will say for the formula is that once on, it’s going nowhere.. I can easily see that you have brows for the day with this and no fear of fading or smudging but that’s about the only plus. When I tried the highlighter, it snapped off straight away (and I didn’t go hard) on both products I tested.

It’s disappointing and shows that sometimes, keeping it simple works best. I’m going back to Benefit Gimme Brow with its manageable, small brush head or my trusty brow pencil, brushed through with a mascara brush. This is an unusual miss from Sleek.

The high street just keeps failing with the brow mascaras. The brushes are always huge, or weirdly shaped on the end. As you say, there’s nothing wrong with a simple, small brush. Especially for those of us not blessed with wide, thick brows
