Skin Rocks The Gel Cleanser Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I could really just sum up Skin Rocks The Gel Cleanser in a sentence – it’s the best I’ve ever used. There we are, all done! I love cleanser testing and I must have tested into the far hundreds over the years – balms are my favourites (Emma Hardie), followed by a very lazy, from-the-sofa-in-front-of-the-TV-cleanse using micellar water (Bioderma). However, Skin Rocks The Gel Cleanser is next level – instantly skin loving giving a smooth, can’t-stop-massaging texture.

It’s a gel to oil formulation but on the skin it feels like a perfect amalgamation of balm and oil. You can add water so that it emulsifies but I found absolute satisfaction applying to just damp skin and don’t see the point of emulsifying anyway. There are many good things in Skin Rocks The Gel Cleanser without the formula resorting to trend ingredients just because. It has what it needs to do the (excellent) job with sunflower, grape and avocado topping the ingredient list alongside glycerin, a cleansing stalwart.

It’s suitable for all skin types although I’d personally favour it for drier skin and it’s fragrance free so good for sensitive complexions. I loved how soft it left my skin as well as how well it took off all my make up, SPF and assorted gardening grime – it’s a future award winner so watch this space!

Skin Rocks The Gel Cleanser is £39 HERE but trust me, you don’t need a lot (I rarely cleanse twice a day – much to the horror of my Instagram audience when I confessed) so I feel like it’s going to last well. More importantly, it feels exactly like the absolute treat it is – your skin will feel nurtured, clean, supple and happy.

Wow! did not realise it was that expenisve but I am tempted still. How does it compare to the ‘oldie but goldie’ Shu Uemura oil? I think I’m still searching for an equivalent of that.

Personally it just resonated straight away – I don’t think I remember the Shu oil well enough to compare x

Have you tried Confidence in a Cleanser? You use it with water – but it never makes my 60+ skin feel dry or tight, and it rinses off easily. There’s something about using water that makes me feel cleaner…

I’ll take a look at it.
