It’s no surprise that it was instant love with the Sisley Phyto Lip Twists that launch in February. They’re easily the most sophisticated formula for this type of lip crayon that I’ve come across.
I put the red Lip Twist (No 6) on straight away (couldn’t help myself) and I totally have red-fear but it looks amazing – spot on for my currently pale olive skin tone. I naturally have quite crinkly lips and wondered why this particular lip formula looked instantly good before I read the blurb. It turns out that the Lip Twists contain Commiphora Resin (no clue, but apparently similar to Myrrh) to smooth and firm the lip. Unless I woke up with miraculously smooth lips this morning, I can say that it definitely makes a difference to the appearance of crinkly lips.
There are six shades coming; Nude, a soft beige, Baby, pale pink, Peach, a lively coral, Pinky, bright pink, Berry, a plum shade, and the one I’m wearing, Cherry, a geranium toned red. In the swatch picture are Pinky, Berry and Cherry.
At £28 each they’re certainly up there in the luxury bracket but personally, because the Twists seem to have something extra, I’d be happy to pay it.

These sound and look promising. If they also hydrate the lips without loosing pigment -which seems to be the case- then they’re quite perfect.
