Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer

For all the big colour and vibrancy, the Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer actually feels very light on the lip. If you’re craving colour, this is a joyful collection of shades that is kicking winter’s butt! When all the spring collections start to arrive, I’m in a dilemma – I’m still in winter clothes but dying to wear lighter shade lips. These colours are the brightest of the Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer collection and each one does a very nice thing to the face even if you’re still in winter black.

In the swatch above, from bottom to top, you see: Tourmaline (shimmer,) Petalite (peach/gold light shimmer), Strawberry Topaz (shimmer). Although all three have a shimmer element to them, they look less shimmery on the lips than they do in the tubes. The middle swatch, Petalite, as you can see has a bit of a mixing issue (it’s probably just my sample) because that little smear of red came out of nowhere. I’ve swatched again and it hasn’t happened.

Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer has a gel base formula, hence the light feeling, but all the pigment of something heavier. I don’t find them to be long stayers, particularly, but I do like the fact they have a brush rather than a sponge applicator.

  1. Could I ask why do you prefer the brush applicator to the sponge one? Is it just because it’s different? I always felt that brush applicators are a bit of a pain.

Literally because it’s just something different. x

  2. WOW these are super pigmented! I like the Strawberry shade. 😀

  3. I was about to ask the same question! I can’t.. get along with brush applicators. I don’t get them and really struggle…
