[unpaid/sample] Since I last had a look at Revlon Ultra HD Snap Nail Polish the colour range has improved so much (or I just wasn’t aware of a bright yellow, neon green or a fluoro pink) so I’ve pulled out a couple that I think are perfect for spring nails.

Revlon Ultra HD Snap Nail Polish

The first one is the greyed lavender of Get Real. It’s a really handy shade if you don’t want to go bright but do want your nails to look a bit different.  The premise of HD Snap is that it only takes one coat but in my experience, it is far better with two. I think it’s the difficulty between getting a polish that flows freely rather than being too thick and trying to offer something that cuts out an extra step but as a one coat, it doesn’t work well enough for me.

The other shade is Keep Cool which sits in the ‘mannequin hand’ trend although that’s long past (and problematic at the time because of the lack of tone difference that shop mannequins used to have) – now it would just sit in a neutral category, but depending on your tone, it’s the sort of shade that’s almost an extension of the skin on your hands. This has quite a lot of yellow in it – it’s kind of a yellowy pastel peach and not as hard to wear as I thought it might be.

Here they both are in full sunshine (how lovely!) – I’ve noticed that Get Real changes depending what light you look at it in – it’s like that Farrow & Ball Paint – Calluna (thought to be the Dior grey pantone) that shifts lavender, grey or blue depending. Get Real is sometimes grey and sometimes lavender and I really like it for that.

A quick snap (before I start on seedlings and the whole mani is ruined!) – I’ve added a dot of Nails Inc Blue nail pen. The Revlon Ultra HD Snap Nail Polishes are on offer for £5 at stockists Sainsbury’s and Amazon but still £7.99 in Boots HERE.
