At last! I have these in my hands… you know, it’s a clever thing to make one simple change to a tool that suddenly makes all the difference. Popping a flat edge on a make up sponge does make a difference in winkling foundation or concealer into contours – in fact, you often see make-up artist sponges that are triangular or squared off rather than round.. it’s only really consumer-use sponges that are oval shaped I think. So, thumbs up for this sponge that costs a fraction of the price of others at £4.99 HERE. They’re not available to buy til September 1st.
Personally, I’m still more comfortable using my fingertips to apply foundation – not sure why; just a personal preference I suppose, but sponges do give a super finish, there’s no doubt.

This looks fab. I don’t use my beauty blender loads but from time to time I really enjoy it. The fact that this is a fraction of the price is fab and the different shape looks wonderful – I think Lots of people will love this as a beauty blender alternative 😀
Use a sponge to apply foundation? Ummm..no thanks! And it’s a little late to the party, isn’t it? The beauty blender was a bit hit 3 years ago, but not anymore.
The point, I think, is that it’s half the price of the beauty blender.. and sponge application is a choice, not a necessity. I use fingertips but I know a lot of people still love their sponges!
Do you think you could compare this to the beauty blender? Pretty pleeeease? 🙂
yes. I’d say it’s softer than the original Beauty Blender, and obviously a different shape and that’s about all the difference that there is. x
Definitely on my wishlist
