NYX Double Stacked Mascara

NYX Double Stacked Mascara
NYX Double Stacked Mascara

Oh my.. this stuff is hilarious. The NYX Double Stacked Mascara has given me the biggest lashes I’ve ever had – you can just keep on layering up as much as you like until they go sky high if that’s what you’re after. I’ve put 5 layers on – just to see what would happen – and surprisingly they don’t look fat and clumpy, just long. Monster lash long.

But, there’s a definitely downside. Those fibres. They’re very volatile – when you pull the brush out of the tube, fibres fly and when you apply to your lashes, they also fly. I could feel them in my eye. NYX Double Stacked Mascara is an absolute no for contact lens wearers and anyone with sensitive eyes. You need to apply a coat of mascara first, then the fibres and repeat as often as you like. I’m surprised that my lashes still feel soft despite piling on the product.

So, NYX Double Stacked Mascara is a recommend and a non-recommend all in the same breath – if you have short lashes and don’t have sensitive eyes, you’ll certainly see a big difference in length, and if you have long lashes already, don’t go out in a high wind – you might take off! It’s £14 HERE.

Would the fibres alone work with other mascaras?

I guess they might.. in theory they should.

  2. I was so excited about this until I read that it’s not for contact wearers. Bummer, but thanks for the heads up!

  3. The ‘fibres’ sound a bit worrying even for non sensitive eyes…primer and careful successive applications of a good mascara with separating in between applying, is a good old fashion technique which works to get lovely long lashes.
Thank you for the post and will have a look at this new offering from NYX.
