NYC IndividualEyes Palette

In theory, this should be a great little budget palette at £3.99 for four colours, a primer and a highlighter. In practice, it’s £3.99 pretty much wasted.

The colours are so weak and low in pigment that it took many swipes to get this level of intensity. And YES those are jumper marks on my hand.. I can’t help having the skin of the Princess in The Princess and The Pea. Although, the bigger issue is, a jumper, in July?

So, while I like their little ‘serving suggestion’ on the back of the palette which is a great little guide, you will struggle to get that look.

I really don’t like it when budget brands fulfil their ‘budget’ reputation. I want them to go over and above and be brilliant for the money – so we’re all surprised and delighted and want to post and talk about it everywhere. Just a tad more pigment factored into the NYC budget and that could have happened.

I have a palette like this too. I never even used it. x

  3. I admit NYC is one brand that my eyes hardly ever glance at when in the drugstore. They probably work better on pristine virginal eyelids and not the “been around the corner too many times” skin.

  4. I have most of the other NYC palettes which are perfectly well pigmented…I haven’t tried these particular ones yet though, still just sat in my ‘to review’ box (oops) I’ll get this palette out tomorrow and see if I can make it work!

  5. Shame about the quality but the colour choices are pretty good for the season. 😀
