Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser

Nivea In Shower Dry Skin

Okay, I was totally NOT going to blog again today, and then this arrived in my inbox. It’s such a simple concept that the big surprise is that nobody has come up with it before. There will be a lot of head-desking from competitor brands I should think.

So, the Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser. You use it after your normal shower gels or soaps, so it isn’t for washing with; it’s like the conditioner after the shampoo. There’s one for dry skin and one for normal skin types. The moisturising element is activated by water, so there’s no wait time at all for it to sink into the skin. And, it’s £3.56! Nivea In-Shower Moisturiser hits stores this month.

  1. This sounds good although I am sceptical! LUSH retail some in-shower body conditioners that work in the same way, I gave one a whirl and it did nothing (smelt absolutely terrible too). Can’t let one bad product taint the lot though, reckon I’ll give this a go when it comes out!

Well I will try it myself next week so we’ll see!

  2. I was JUST talking about a similar product I used in the States by Olay that wasn’t available here 🙁 so happy days about this one!

  3. Ooh what a great idea 😀 xxx

  4. It’s not something new as an idea, but definitely worth checking out 🙂 Thanks!

  5. I was just about to say the same about Lush. I’ve been using their King of Skin, Buffy (exfoliator AND moisturiser) for years

Yes, I didn’t know about the Lush thing.. but actually feel I am much more likely to chuck the Nivea in my Tesco shopping basket than actually seek out Lush.. x

lush has rose argan body conditioner which is divine! leaves skin so soft and smells like argan and roses. probably came from that…

  7. This looks like something I’d like, looking forward to your review. Btw, I think Lush has something similar. x

  8. Ang

I’ll definitely try this since I always to lazy or forget to moisturize right after shower.

  9. The Lush ones leave a film in the shower after rinsing that’s a bugger to clean-up and also make the shower surfaces slippery: I almost lost my life in a most undignified manner! Not saying the Nivea one will be like that, but just a word of caution to watch your step after trying it!

I’ve got the Olay one – its on fragrance direct atm. Its a nice idea but found i use all more than i do normal lotions.

I have Lush’s Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner which has argan oil in it, it seems to be exactly the same idea as this although it is five times the price!
I bought it because I love the rose fragrance but I have to say I don’t really like the greasy feeling in the shower… it doesn’t feel ‘clean’ to me… but then again I don’t have a big problem with dry skin.

Brilliant! I always skip body lotion after the shower; too time-consuming, you have to wait for it to sink in etc. This is an idea I can get behind!

  13. Yay! I don’t like putting on moisturiser afterwards when it’s cold.

  14. dressedinvelvet

ooh! i’ll have to try that!

  15. Jacquelyn Gray

I had one of these from Avon skin so soft that I got a few years ago and it was amazing!

  16. Ciarra M

Wow I really want to try this!! My shower gels keep giving me dry skin this is a great concept!!

  17. Unevenlemming

I’m looking forward to hear what you thinking on this, it’s raised some interest here

Ive used the Olay one before and i loved it !! Especially before fake tanning..will defo pick this up x

  19. Ellen

Crabtree & Evelyn used to make In-shower moisturiser that was really good!!

  20. Looking forward to the review. I was just saying I’m looking for a product like this!

  21. Myriad

I don’t shave my legs, so body creams are not a very pleasant experience. (Yeah, feminine mystique and I parted company some time ago.) Neom’s body scrub is excellent for removing the need for a moisturiser but it’s not exactly in my price range, so anything that potentially makes my skin happy without feeling revolting is worth a look.

  22. Sami

Great concept! Especially if, like me, shower gel makes your skin feel tight and dry!!

  23. Oanne

Ren used to do a monroe body rinse which was lovely but they discontinued it. Will definitely try this one.

  24. Joanne

Should be monoi – damn iPad autocorrect.

Hi, I am (almost) absolutely sure you will not see this comment, but was just wondering if you know if this product has rolled out yet? I have really rather dry skin and find that, post shower, my skin simply drinks in anything I rub in, and have been looking for this product everywhere, to now avail.

    Thank yoyu

    1. Jane

yes it’s in Boots or online at Boots.com x
