MUA Colour Blast Eye Shadow Tints
MUA Colour Blast Eye Shadow Tints

This is a little bit of a mixed review for these MUA Colour Blast Eye Shadow Tints (£3 each, HERE). On the one hand, I love the colours; so wearable – and to get a good pink for the eye that doesn’t make you look ill is a feat indeed (Diamonds opens up the eye and makes it look awake rather than poorly!) and it has a tinge of gold to it as well to warm it up. On the other hand, though, I think there isn’t enough pigment in them to reflect the shades as they look in the stick – you get rather a thin wash of colour to my mind.

Even with my flash misbehaving, you can see they just (other than the plum, Loud) aren’t that impactful. You can have impact with pastel shades but it’s not quite happening here.

That said, if you despair of overly pigmented colours when all you want is a gentle accent on the eye, they’re exactly right! You definitely need to use an eye primer as an anchor with these – they’re a little slidey on the eye without, but with, they’re perfectly fine.
