MIO Double Buff Exfoliator

I feel like I haven’t done any body product reviews for ages, but the thing about taking part in trialling Olay where I don’t use any other facial skin care for the month has literally forced me to focus on body things. And, I’m so glad, because I’ve discovered some gorgeous products, including the MIO Double Buff Exfoliator.

The main thing to know with this product is that you use it on dry skin before you jump in the shower or the bath – leave it on a couple of minutes (the instructions say 30 seconds but I left for at least a minute) because it contains papaya and pineapple enzymes that will act as the back up to the grains. The enzymes chomp up dead cells, while the grains (made of pumice, lava and bamboo) slough off anything extra. I’m telling you, after a couple of goes, you’ll see and feel a difference. It’s funny really, but I used to like a rough scrub, but I dread to think what it did to my skin – Mio Double Buff Exfoliator is more the texture that you’d use on your face with fine, fine grains and I’d imagine it would be a good prep before self tan. In fact, you can use it on your face, although I haven’t.

It’s just as well you use it before a bath – my new obsession is the (expensive) Mio Liquid Yoga that practically renders me senseless so there would be no chance whatsoever of being bothered to exfoliate once immersed. Double Buff is £23 HERE and Liquid Yoga is £26 HERE.

  1. Wow, this sounds fantastic! I suffer from very, very dry skin on my arms and legs, so this sounds like it would really help.
