I heard a little rumour about the Maybelline Nude Palette a couple of months ago – don’t rush to the shops because at the moment it’s US only but it IS coming to the UK in due course. I’ll keep you updated. There are some amazing swatches of the palette on one of my favourite US blogs, Musings of A Muse HERE.
A little bit more interesting to me than the palette is the Color Tattoo Leathers – gel creams designed to give a leather look to the lid. I know – insert lizard jokes – but I’m kind of intrigued to see how these work. It’s going to be amazing or it’s going to be absolutely awful!! There are five shades in the range – I can just about go with a putty shade but a violet leather lid. Not sure!
There’s no news on whether we’ll even get these in the UK so far, but again, I’ll update when I find out.

Love the sound of the leather look eyeshadow. I’d totally be up for going with striking look. Can’t wait to try it out!
Given the amount of money I spend on trying not to have leathery lids, I think this is one for the young ‘uns only
Ah perfect! This need to come to the UK ASAP!!!!

The leather look sounds interesting, but I don’t think I’d brave it personally. The nude palette looks great and right now I’m thankful it’s US only as I don’t really NEED another Nude palette. (want is a different matter. )
I normally don’t bother with high street shadows but they actually look quite good by the looks of those swatches!

The Nude palette looks good but I’ve heard less than raving reviews about it in the US. I’d love to swatch it for myself though.
I picked up a couple of the leather tattoos when I was Stateside last month and I have to say, while I like the effect (it’s like an uber matte to me), I find them really a lot more difficult to work with than the original tattoos, and I don’t find they have the same staying power either, but, like I said, they do look neat!
I’ve seen the beige leather colour tattoo in some boots/superdrugs!
I bought two of the maybelline colour tattoo leather shades on US trip. They’re great. I got the putty shade and also the gold highlight shade. They blend really well! Happy to hear they’re coming to the UK as regretting I didn’t pick up more.

I picked up one of the leather colour tattoos this week and it’s a nice colour ( creamy beige) but doesn’t really last as well on the lid as the original colour tattoos so I’m not super impressed
I live in MIddlesbrough Uk and recently went to my BOots store and there I found the leather color tattoo in 2 shades Vintagr plum and creamy beige. I got the shade vintage plum.
This palette looks beautiful – I love the shades! Hopefully this comes to the UK ASAP! Great post xx

The leather colour tattoos are already in the uk, I bought one on Thursday from boots they don’t really make your eyes look that leathery, they’re just not metallic or completely matte, just a nice inbetween.
A friend picked up the palette for me in NYC. The colours are nice and comparable to the likes of Nars et al, but the dark colours had too much drop to work well as liners. AnnieA
The Maybelline Nudes looks beautiful in the palette, but the pigments aren’t great… which I suppose is to be expected for a cheaper cosmetic. Other than that, it’s a nice purchase! I haven’t tried the new leather color tattoos yet, my other tattoos dried up so quickly that I decided not to purchase any more. But this sounds interesting.. might give it a go 🙂

Ooh I love all the shades – this looks like a handy palette to have!

I’ve found two of the Leathers in the UK already, my review is here http://nothingrhymeswithrachel.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/new-uk-maybelline-color-tattoos.html
I don’t find them leathery at all, I think they’re a great addition to the shades we already had.
Already seen 1 of the leather color tattoos in boots and bought it. It’s just matte and not as pigmented as the regular ones.
That palette seems to have mixed reviews, so I’m not too interested. But please do let us know if the Color Tattoo Leathers come to the UK. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on them since I saw some US YouTubers talking about them. 🙂

I love these colours!!

As a woman of a certain age there is nothing that is guaranteed to turn me off more than the promise of a leathery effect – it’s all a bit Judith Chalmers to me, and remember the TV programme V?
No I will be leaving the leather effect to handbags and shoes, and looking for something a little more youthful when it comes to make up (though am well aware that there is nothing more ageing than avoiding the new… oh the dilemmas!)
