I’ve finally got my hands on the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr shades and am immediately obsessed with Permanent Taupe. They’re all pretty fab but if there was ever a shade for me, it’s Taupe. And probably with the Sleek Eau La La Waterproof Liner in Orange. So here they are, swatched:

Swatches are done literally with one swipe of colour on a finger so you can see how they perform with no adjustments but obviously brush application would give a more refined effect. What I really love about these is the density, particularly of Permanent Taupe; it’s really unusual to get nude shades with such heavy saturation. I don’t know if they last the full 24 hours and I’m not prepared to put them to the test either! But arm swatches were nearly impossible to remove so I’d say staying power is pretty good.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hr launch in April for £4.99 each.

That’s a beautiful combination – the taupe and the tangerine. 🙂 I wonder if SG will ever see the Color Tattoo range.
Absolutely stunning colors I just wish they had kept the fab names from the US collection. The taupe looks to be my fave!
The taupe-and-orange combination looks awesome! The Color Tattoo line does seem to have a great color density – I like them all, but I would say that my favorites are Immortal Charcoal and Endless Purple.
I would be V grateful if anyone could recommend a brush to put these on with – always seem to have such a hard time with cream eyeshadows & brushes – my fingers always win!
For some reason they have completely different names to their US counterparts. Why do companies confuse the situation haha
I just did a review on the taupe on on my blog! I just didn’t like it but you seem to love it, maybe I’m doing something wrong! How do you apply it? do you use your fingers or a brush?
Here in México it’s called tough as taupe.
Thank you!
Besos!

I used a brush – a fairly flat one and it went on fine.. I had no primer underneath. x
