The dream team for LV, Shanghai |
So pleased to have news from Marian Newman, nail expert/genius/wonderwoman who is just back from the Louis Vuitton show in Shanghai and a VIP party to launch their new mega-store. They reproduced the Paris show (famously with a LV logo steam train that took two and a half months to ship!) by building a station next to Huangpu River to hold the party.

So, the nails. Sometimes I think I sound crazy because I can never find the right shade of nude and STILL to this day regret not buying a back up of the Michael Kors for Estee Lauder which I used up to the very last drop. Because all nudes are not equal; perfect nude nuances are the very thing that tie nail maestros in knots because they are so difficult to come by off the shelf and equally difficult to hand mix.

Mixed to perfection |
Marian says, “Nude colours are really difficult to mix as the base colour needs to be the right one. I was mixing and mixing a few days before going and it wasn’t going well. Then, one tiny drop of a very bright pink did it! This nude is a creamy, pale, ashes of roses, without too much blue (because that would clash with some skin tones) and each of my 8 bottles that I made up matched the buttons on the coats EXACTLY!”
