[productsample/affiliatelinks] If you like the very particular bulb note that appears in some fragrances and when planting, you’ll find it predominates in Malin + Goetz Stem.

Stem is a highly botanical fragrance, softened with musk and white cedar – it’s a garden lover’s dream fragrance really because it certainly evokes a proximity to earthy soil beds and lush greenery. Stem replicates the raw after-cut scent of newly clipped plants and flowers rather than focus on the blooms which is what makes it innovative and distinctive. You will, of course, find some floral notes in the mix – hyacinth, freesia and mandarin leaves, with a dash of rose and jasmine, but over all, this unisex perfume finds the glory in the least appreciated part of plants – the stems.
Stem is £75 HERE, non-affiliate HERE.

I love the sound of this fragrance Jane, beautifully described, I’m drawn to bulby (!) /earthy/fresh scents and this sounds perfect. I generally wear Hermes Hiris (weirdly it was a review of it describing it as almost unpleasant that drew me to it!!) but now and again try something else. Will try to find a sample.
