When a thing is done beautifully, like Lola’s Apothecary, it’s an absolute pleasure to have – whether it’s a treat to self or an indulgent gift to a friend. If it’s beautiful to the eye, it’s half the job done.
Lola’s Apothecary is a small brand, made in small batches in Devon and is free from parabens, SLS, preservatives and synthetics. What distinguishes Lola’s Apothecary is that it is not overwhelming. There’s a tendency for essential oils to smack you in the face – and pleasant though a rose is, you don’t necessarily want to smell as though you too have been freshly steam distilled. The oils settle quickly into the skin, leaving a gleam rather than a slick.
I have Rose & Neroli Body Oil and Rose & Geranium Bath Oil here, and the Bath Oil looks far more expensive than it actually is at £20. The Body Oil is £32 and they’re both HERE.
I’m not a fan of bits in bottles, but these are really done so nicely – there are no strays so the pieces hold together perfectly, making them less likely to fall out of the bottle when you tip it.
