Lisa Eldridge For Boots No7 2012 Daisy Darling Swatched

Okay, so my swatching with Daisy Darling didn’t go that well initially – the glitter pieces are the most lovely, shiny pink, but because of their random sizes it really is hard to build up to a complete coverage with it. However, after 3 coats it started to look pretty good if not total coverage.

I decided to try it as a top coat on Dior’s upcoming Amazonia, a rich Khaki green and part of their Jungle inspired collection. Amazonia and Daisy Darling  are perfect partners!

In fact, any khaki shade would be – the deep green brings out the pink perfectly, and because I kept it to one coat of random glitters with Daisy Darling, the effect is gorgeous.. I’m really thrilled with it. I just literally swept the brush full of glittery bits over each nail once, with a new dip for each nail and got a great effect. I can see it looking amazing over navy as well, and also a rich nude shade. I’ve got one coat of Lumos High Speed Top Coat on as well just to protect it and give it a shine boost, although it doesn’t really need one as Amazonia is very shiny, and the glitter needs no help!

These super size pics are making my hands look about 90 years old.. they’re not, honest! Damn macro. See the full Lisa Eldridge collection HERE

  1. I just love this polish – and the whole collection! Glad it’s not just me, I’m always taking pictures of my hands and sobbing about how old they look – my hands are so moisturised I can’t pick anything up without it slipping to the floor and smashing. Blogger problems, I guess.

  2. Funny you should mention it’d look great over navy as I swatched it over Orly’s Shockwave and it looks fab xx

  3. oh blimey it looks awesome over that Dior khaki. Reminds me of a NARS pink glitter I had years ago – my first high end nailpolish!

  4. ps just noticed the macro comment… I hold it responsible for a number of things that I would have been much happier remaining in oblivion of!

I love the pink glitters so much, they really look like little rose petals on your nails especially with the khaki combination! Looks so cute 😀 Gotta have!

Wow – gorgeous combo… I wasn’t impressed by the No. 7 Deco collection at all… The palette especially looks very standard, with colours easily duped with stuff I already have, but I’m very tempted by this glitter polish now. Great idea to use the polish as a topcoat!
