So, in the weird and wonderful world of beauty seasons come around ahead of real life! I had a proper immersion into next spring yesterday taking in a sneaky peek of Lancome Spring 2016. What’s noticable about several of the spring collections I’ve seen is that cornflower blue is definitely a thing. If I can identify one key shade we’ll all be craving, it’s that one. So, the products I’ve seen are still very much at sample stage but it’s a good round up of things to come. Above are the Lancome Spring 2016 lipsticks.
And the Lancome Spring 2016 Lip Lovers. I’m very fond of these glosses – I think they’re always the best of the Lancome collections but obviously, as a gloss fan, I’m completely biased!
This is the Paris Merveilleux palette – there is another one, Paris en Rêve, that’s far more pastel and features the blue shade. Obviously, when I get samples that I can swatch, I’ll cover these more fully.
I completely love My Parisian Blush in its little tin (that’s not my finger print, by the way!). The imagery on this is the key look to the whole collection.
These are the My Parisien Pastels – they’re housed in a silver tin with the same balloon girl image that you see on the blush. Surprisingly, when I Instagrammed these yesterday, they didn’t go down that well, but personally, I think they’re beautiful! I think with a shimmer cube you make of it what you want and pick and choose how you want to wear it. There are many shades in this that I’d wear on my eyes, but also you can get busy with a kabuki for highlighting. When it’s fully packaged, the cube will be split into 3 corrective shades, 3 blush tones and 3 illuminators.
And, there’s that cornflower blue again! I’m surprised that yellow nails are heading back – I didn’t quite get to grips with them last spring and summer so it looks like I’ll get another go at the trend.
The Lancome Spring 2016 collection launches on January 1st by which time, the crackers are cracked, the stockings are put away and we’ve had well and truly enough of dark shades. This collection made my beauty heart go a bit skippy for spring.
