[samples] I really don’t feature a lot of It Cosmetics finding it problematic that they’re so deeply focused on looking younger – my philosophy is that skin can be beautiful at every age and prefer a more embracing approach. Soft, radiant and glowy skin is lovely on everyone. However, we are on safe ground with lipstick and I’m really pleased to put these to the test because wow! If you like a power lip, here we are.

It Cosmetics Pillow Lips

The packaging is fab – it doesn’t look like any other lipstick I know of and is obviously a reference to the pillow name (although last time I looked, ‘pillow lips’ wasn’t a good thing but a sign of a bit too much of the old filler). I also love the fact that it’s white which is not nearly as common as traditional black. I know it shows up every scuff but it’s just so clean looking that I’m really drawn to it. There’s a real Hollywood glamour vibe to these.

There are 14 shades split into matte and cream and the pigment is high – way high! After a real struggle to read labels on another brand yesterday because the writing was so tiny, I’m really appreciating the very clear labelling on these both on the casings and the exterior packaging. I don’t need my menu glasses for these! The matte texture is very matte, and don’t think that the cream is ‘sheen’ texture because it isn’t. It’s quite matte for a cream formulation but there is a little light bounce on it whereas there isn’t any at all on the matte. The power is in the pigment – this is a one swiper – two if you need to be seen from the moon ;-). They’re infused with hyaluronic (always a bonus) and tri-oil which are there to help lips appear smoother – I think that worked for me although they didn’t look any plumper.

That is a proper colour lay-down. The shades from bottom to top are: Gaze (matte), Wink (cream), Like A Dream (cream), Fanciful (cream) and Lights Out (matte). I think they’re well priced at £20 each and if you’re looking for something to brighten up February, they’re HERE. Non affiliate HERE. I just double checked for offers and see that you would get both check-out samples and free postage with this.
