Things don’t get more ‘woah’ in beauty than a stunning matte lip product, and the Isadora Twist Up Matte Lips certainly fall that way. Isadora has introduced three super bright mattes that are as intense – if not more so – than the recently new D&G Matte Lipsticks. It makes me frustrated all over again that we can’t get Isadora in the UK (but on the plus, it’s all over Europe) – I’d love it if these lip twists were available on a UK high street.

The finish isn’t a dry matte, more of a smooth, velvet finish, but as ever, your lips will need to be in good nick to make these look as good as they should. It’s always an idea to do a bit of a lip exfoliation and overnight balm mask to prep lips for the next day’s matte wear.

See what I mean? They’re almost neon, they’re so bright. The texture is creamy but I’ll be totally upfront and say I haven’t put these on my lips yet (I am not a matte fan at all on myself) so I can only really evaluate from arm swatches. Certainly, there’s no drag and they feel very soft. Isadora Twist Up Matte Lips contain moisturising ingredients which hopefully will help to keep smoothness – such intensely bright colours are going to need super smooth lips to look their best. I don’t have a Euro price for these, but Isadora often comes in at about mid-range, making it more affordable than premium lines.

Jane, the Twist Up Matte Lips sell for around 14 Euro here in Germany, so yes, solidly mid-range. I actually think I never used anything by Isadora except the nail polish, but you keep writing good things about their products, I’ll have to give them a try! 😀
Hi Jane, These Matt Lip Crayons look good enough to eat! I’m going to start building a shopping list for my European friends to source out for me. Thank you for sharing. Aarti p.s love the new blog design x
Colors are amazing! I like bright lipstick!
I have these myself and I got to say they are super forgiving even if you have drier lips, Isadora is generally lower midrange in Sweden 🙂
The shades are stunning. Love these for Summer x
