[unpaid/sample] If I have a favourite thing to review, it’s lip treatments. My lips have never been smooth looking although I keep them very well conditioned and hydrated. If I don’t use lip balms and oils, they’re dry and flaky in no time at all. Needy lips are annoying but on the other hand, there are some amazing products around to keep them soft and supple, from the super luxury to the cheap and cheerful. Price doesn’t, thankfully, seem to be necessarily an indicator of efficacy although I will say that I’ve had more cheap and cheerful fails than expensive fails. A lot of lipsticks have an ingredient (I am not sure what, but my sister is the same) that triggers dryness so every time I wear a lippie, I slather on balm afterwards.
At £18, the Inde Wild Dewy Lip Treatment is a good buy – no doubt about it. It’s reassuringly balmy on the lips, soft and supple feeling without any waxiness and gives a beautiful sheen rather than a gloss finish. Ingredient wise, Inde Wild Dewy Lip Treatment contains peptides, pomegranate, rose, lotus and squalane. Squalane is, in my book, a super-ingredient as an organic compound that mimics your own skin’s natural oils. It’s very emollient, smoothing and softening – all the things lips need.
I find it interesting that Inde Wilde uses ghee as its skinspiration for Dewy Lip – five minutes of research tells me that ghee is an excellent skin conditioner being high in omega 3 fatty acids and that’s exactly what attributes Dewy Lip Treatment harnesses. If you have dry, difficult lips, I’d highly recommend this – a 15ml tube will go a long way. My one disappointment is that I expected it to have a rose fragrance and it has no fragrance at all. It’s HERE.
