[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Stick make up is probably my favourite – super easy to use, no brush required and very portable. I’ve been a fan of the Ilia Multi Sticks for a while for all of the above, but by far and away my favourite product is Dear Ruby in the most glorious tomato red.

Unless you have very deep tones, this shade is hard to wear at full strength but Dear Ruby is super sheer for wear on cheeks, lids and lips. For me, it’s firmly a cheek product but I like the idea of using it on all three at once – something I’ll have a go at on Instagram.

This is a colour that makes me smile and feel in a hurry to get on my face. I love the textures of the Ilia Multi Sticks which incorporate shea butter, orange peel wax and avocado oil (if they smelled of oranges that would be peak perfection) all of which are skin compatible and comfortable.

First though, let’s take a look at this lipstick – something I would not have picked out for myself but it turns out to be a very wearable and likeable shade. It’s Wild Rose – full pigment, super creamy and comprised of castor oil, apricot seed oil and mango seed butter. It feels as good as it sounds. I’m yet to try the mascara, but I think I’ve tried it before so I’ll leave that for another day.

Can’t you see Dear Ruby coming fully into its own in summer time? I can wear it now because I have slight olive tones but it will look even better in the summer light when my tone has changed from cold olive to warm olive.
