Home Finds: Exfoliating Magic Foot, Denman Shower Brush & DHC Oil Blotting Papers

As you know, I spend far too much time trying to decipher the Google Translate on Japanese and Korean beauty sites – in fact, there really should be a translate program for Google Translate because it sure comes up with some weird and wonderful interpretations. But more recently, I’ve found some products easily available in the UK that normally I would only expect to find on said Japan/Korea sites.

Denman Shampoo Brush : Shampoo brushes are really popular in far eastern countries to give the scalp a little massage and ensure that the shampoo is really worked into the hair. I’d advise that if you have super-curly hair or easily tangled hair, you avoid! This was a find from the Beauty Junkies at Boots when I was on a recent visit. It’s £3.57 at http://www.boots.com/en/Denman-Shower-Massage-Brush_1189991/?CAWELAID=775830273&cm_mmc=Shopping%20Engines-_-Google%20Base-_—_-Denman%20Shower%20%20Massage%20Brush

DHC Oil Blotting Paper: Made from 100% natural hemp fibres, these oil absorbing sheets are snip at £3 and available from www.dhcuk.co.uk. I love that they’ve kept their Japanese credentials in the packaging and not tried to ‘Anglicise’.

Exfoliating Magic Foot: If you’ve heard of the famous Japanese foot-peeling product, Baby Foot, this is virtually the same thing. It’s basically a mega-peel to remove dead and hard skin that takes place over several days so you really don’t want to do it if you’re planning to wear flip-flops – it’s shedding at an extraordinary level – and takes 7 days to complete. Find it at www.magicfoot.co.uk

I’d love to know how you got on with the Magic Foot. I was very intrigued so I bought one which was delivered this morning so I will try that this evening.

I’ll let you know the results – my feet have not seen a pedicure in 6 months and I do a lot of running, so I’m very hopeful this is going to sort me out.. If it works I know what stocking fillers everyone will get from me this year!
