[unpaid/affiliate] I really rate Mango and prefer it often to Zara although it’s a rare day that I go into Zara and come out with nothing at all. Their current sale is mainly summer stock but I found a couple of pieces that can find their way into your autumn/winter wardrobe seamlessly.

First up is this satin jumpsuit in charcoal grey. This is super easy to add sweaters over, long knitted cardis, on-trend waistcoats etc to ramp up the warmth. It’s also available in this shade, which for unknown reasons is in colour ‘medium brown’. If you have an oversize cream jacket, it’s a match made in heaven, but if not, shove on a big, chunky cardi and style it out. In many ways, this jumpsuit is a completely blank canvas so any accessories you want to show off you can do it with this. I think it’s every kind of elegant. This shade is HERE.

If anything summarises ageless dressing, it’s the denim jacket. I prefer mine a size up so I can get a jumper underneath but it’s the ultimate throw about jacket that you can bash to bits and it will only look better for it. I like a short jacket, longer shirt (or sweater) combination with waxed black jeans (I’m still not ready for double denim!) or over a dress. If you’re in the mood to customize, you can get badges, sparkles, iron-on designs, jewelled appliques and tassels that you can attach.
