Hello, Artistic Colour Gloss!

I’ve just had an extremely fabulous manicure using the new Artistic Colour Gloss Gel Polishes – they’re really so cool and slightly different from other gel polishes in that they are applied very thinly and look exactly like normal nail polish as opposed to the slightly thick ‘gel’ look. There are some gorgeous shades – I opted for Vogue – a purple shade with grey undertones – and there’s definitely a fashion accent, not least because the range is created by Tom Bachik, who has manicured some pretty A list fingers (Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce to name but a few). The man himself was there on the day and we chatted about nail innovations – I’m all for him inventing LED lights for nails a la Big Fat Gypsy Wedding – the technology must be there somewhere in China. While I was chatting away to Tom, the lovely nail technician, Michelle Class, was getting busy with the best accent nail I’ve ever had – it’s STUNNING! She is one clever lady and super friendly too – needless to say her list of clients for fashion week is like the Designer floor at Harrods – Amanda Wakely, Mark Fast and Ashley Isham for starters.

I’m afraid these pictures aren’t the best (not least because the nails are so shiny), but using the Gel shades in Dazzled and Bling Bling (ultra glittery) and then white and a dark navy blue, she’s created a kind of feathered effect over the shimmer. Wow!

Artistic Nails cost from £25 for a set (which is fine for a life of 21 days I think). Check www.louellabelle.co.uk for more deets.
