Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire My Petal Dress

Although La Petite Robe Noire isn’t my favourite of fragrances, I really can’t knock the bigger picture of beautiful permutations on the La Petite Robe Noire theme. Enter Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire My Petal Dress Eau Fraiche – the lightest and freshest version to date of the original, and to me, the most wearable. In fact, I very much like it and am wearing it right now!

It’s a little bit ironic that I’m looking out at my garden with a dusting of snow while talking about a fresh and spring like fragrance – but it’s rather a tonic to a dreary day! Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire My Petal Dress Eau Fraiche (or, the French version, Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Petales) is much greener than the original with notes of pistachio and mandarin with rose and freesia. The pistachio note really stands out to me and it’s unusual – a little bit macaron – but because it’s surrounded by flowery notes it just kind of fits and doesn’t go foodie.

From reading through my notes here, it looks like this might be the last of the La Petite Robe Noire series, which frankly, when I’ve just found one that suits me so well, is a shame!

Everything about the presentation of La Petite Robe Noire series has been beautiful – these are bottles to keep and treasure – and a real stand out in the very crowded fragrance market. Never thought I’d say it, but I’m rather sad there are no more to come, so I hope I am incorrect in my assumption.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire My Petal Dress Eau Fraiche launches on 23rd February with prices starting at £39.

Wow! Sounds delicious. I really have to try it ♥

I’m not a big fan of this one either (Shalimar for me – I even named my kitty after it!) but I agree with you, they’ve done very well marketing it and its variants. My coworker knows someone at Guerlain who said this product has been a godsend for them because the campaigns use illustrations as opposed to a major spokesperson/model, hence extra benefits for Guerlain – clever!
I agree it has a very cute, playful image, hence the appeal to younger customers. I find the original LPRN a bit sweet/cloying so I’ll definitely test this one.

  3. Oh my Gosh I love the original scent and this just sounds amazing! Pistachio? I think I’m sold already!

I can’t wait to give this a sniff, I can see me falling in love.
