Guerlain Christmas 2023

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Well, the glamour stakes are well and truly upped with these new Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks and cases. They always look so luxurious – the hand feel is exceptional and the incorporated mirror is just a beautiful touch. All you need in one sweep.

These two cases are from the Fantasy collection The Bestiary (a compilation of animals, real of imaginary) and you can see how the brand has really played with that using glitter for tiger stripes in Glittery Tige and imagining a green leopard in Feline Fantasy. I think it’s delightful. There are, of course, other options but these are the two highlights for Christmas.

I’ve got two shades to show you as well – No.234 Roaring Red and No. 251 Flamingo Pink. They’re both in the Luxurious Velvet matte formula and it’s a matte that I keep noticing because it’s soft looking or blurry on the lips – like it’s been patted on. I wish my lips could take matte in this instance because I like the look a lot.

This is Roaring Red. You know, I’m so used to the softness of balms that I’m really messing up my lipstick application! I need to pay more attention and use a lip brush to get into the creases.

I’ve done a much better job with Pink Flamingo thank goodness! I’ve got the new eyeshadow palette to show you next week, and a new fragrance. In theory, I love these colours, but the formula doesn’t love me. At the time of writing Look Fantastic has an offer on the lipstick cases – £25.60 instead of £32 HERE. Escentuals has the shades for £27.50 instead of £32 HERE. The cases on Escentual are £27.20 so you might want to consider postage fees and whether it’s better value to get both from Escentual as LF doesn’t have these particular colours.
