Givenchy Summer 2012 Swatches

I’m slightly obsessed with the Givenchy Summer Kajal in Nude – it’s such a weird look but also very beguiling. If you use it on the inner rim of the eye it gives a very stylised effect as though it needs white mascara to make it as edgy as possible. I’m not sure I can wear it day to day though I love its buttery softeness, but if think you can do it, it will be an absolutely intriguing look.

Vernis Please! in Delicate Brown isn’t shown in the promo pics as it actually is.. it looks more milky in the pictures than in real life. The reality is a brown that isn’t chocolate and isn’t coffee but is somewhere in between – it’s rich and delicious and I can see it working really well in combination with a lighter, nude look face.

Finally, the Pearly Pink Ombre a Fleur de Peau. It’s a gorgeous, buildable, sheer nude-pink shade, but for me the included shimmer wasn’t necessary. And it dropped quite a lot once the creme shadow had dried. However, the shimmer is silver which I really loved against nude – the obvious option would be gold – and to be fair, I didn’t use an eye primer which usually helps.
