Give Away: Paul Smith Autographed Bunny And His & Hers Optimistic Fragrance

Ok, I’m excited about this give-away because Paul Smith himself has signed the bunny – I don’t know of any other Paul Smith autographed bunnies. As well as the bunny, you’ll also get the two newest fragrances from Paul Smith, one for him and one for her called Optimistic. Since the fragrances are all about happiness and a postive attitude, I want to ask What Makes You Feel Optimistic?

I’ll get a third party to choose the most optimistic answer on Friday 13th – lucky for someone! You need to post your answer on this post leaving your own blog or Twitter details for me to contact you back. If you don’t have a blog or Twitter, email your answer to britishbeautyblogger@gmail.com and I will contact you that way.

  1. Other people make me feel optimistic. I look at youtube gurus and think “If they can do it so can I” and it applies to everything.

This is cringy but that is what makes me optimistic. 🙂

  2. I think sunshine makes me feel optimistic, I don’t know why! There’s nothing better than waking up to a blue sky and bright sun, everyone is in a great mood and I know it’s going to be a good day 🙂

    Great giveaway 🙂

  3. The sun in the beginning of Spring and smiles/laughter or general undiluted happiness of other people. Hearing some-one laughing gleefully or a beam on their face that looks like it’ll never leave cheers me up no end, they make me remember there are always good things around – the same goes for other people’s happiness, especially cute giggling babies, so adorable! The Spring sun is just because I hate Winter, and Sping signifies the beginning of life and re-birth, and warmer weather!!

  4. I grew up in Texas, but now live in Chicago. Although I love it here, sometimes the drab climate and grey days take its toll on my mood. Sunshine, even when it’s barely shining through the clouds, it a big happiness boost. For the days when there is no sunshine, bright red Hunter rainboots, patterned umbrellas, and colorful sweaters make me happy.

I feel optimistic when I come home from work knowing that today I’ve helped someone smile and feel better! (I’m a nurse) I feel optimistic at the prospect of a new working week and everything and anything that could happen 🙂

  6. Haha this is going to be so cringe-worthy! What makes me most optimistic is when I see a baby or a child smile or giggle. Now that makes me think maybe there is hope to many of this world’s problems.

I think my life in general makes me feel optimistic. I feel so greatful to have the best friends i could ever hope for. Im not close to my family at all, but my friends keep me happy and smiling. The are my family. I have recently moved to the other side of the country for university, and am so happy to have been given the opportunity to study my passion, photography. This has made me realise recently how much i love my life and everyone in it, especially how much i miss people from back home. Things will always work out in the end, I want to enjoy the little things and never let anything get me down <3

Im sorry that this post is a little rambley and all over the place 🙂 Its just random thoughts spewed out of my head.

  8. I feel optimistic knowing that no matter how difficult my day has been, it’s not the end of life as I know it because it’s already tomorrow on the other side of the world (: http://www.laura-laments.blogspot.com x

Chanel No 5. My grandmother and mother, both passed away now, were fabulous women and Chanel gals all their lives. I suppose I got the bug from them.

I’m a total optimist and not ashamed to admit it!
I was out training for a marathon when a dog ran into me & shattered the top of my tibia. Four years on, after two ops, I’ve been left with nerve damage, horrendous constant pain, sciatica and use a walking stick. It may be unrealistic but I remain optimistic that I will get through this and one day be able to run again

I’ve been through so much shit lately and this is so going to sound like one of those typical answers, but what makes me feel optimistic are my children. Everytime one of them put a smile on my face or made me laugh, I just thought to myself that no matter what happens in my life and what shit I go through, nothing in life is bad when you have two gorgeous children. Everything is just perfect.

    Hello!

What makes me feel optimistic is my amazing boyfriend, who has been my best friend and really got me through some very tough times in the last two years. He makes me smile every day and asks for nothing back. I don’t know where I would have been without him and he’s making me a better and stronger person. 🙂

Rain. I know that’s a strange answer but I love it when you’re outside and it’s pouring down! Even better when there’s thunder and lightening! I don’t know, I suppose it’s the exhilaration that gives me a buzz of optimism. Like, when you’re at the beach and it’s cold and wet and the waves are crashing against the rocks and no one is there but you!

Right, a slightly rambling, strange answer that sounds like some slightly morose poetry but it does make me feel optimistic in the fact that I’m alive and there for moments like that!

  15. Animals and small children make me optimistic. I work in a children’s museum and there is never a day goes by there that a few kids don’t put a smile on my face. Especially the teeny tiny baby toddler ones, I didn’t know I found them so adorable until I saw them all the time. I say it makes me optimistic – I still wouldn’t want my own 😉
My cat though, she cheers me up all the time! And she is MINE!

I think being around people that make me laugh and good about myself. The company of excellent friends who don’t think I’m crazy. This makes me happy and then I feel optimistic about everything that is going on in my life. Doesn’t matter if the sun isn’t shining or there’s bad news everywhere. As long as I’ve got them, it’s all going to be fine.

Small things make me optimistic. Like eating a proper breakfast on Sunday mornings. Having a warm candlelight bath in a cold evening. Smelling a perfume I love in a passer-by. Finding something I had forgot about. A puppy wagging its tail at me. Or doing my make up specially well.

I know it may sound corny, but still…

  18. Not a lot makes me optimistic – in a world with so many seemingly insurmountable problems true optimism is rare, or in most cases misplaced. What does make me believe that the world is still a fundamentally good place, and humanity a force for good is community action. People coming together to make things better, often in the face of adversity, status-quo and higher powers. Examples range from the downtrodden populations of Egypt, Syria and others fighting for political reform, NGOs empowering disadvantaged communities against their oppressors, and blogs harnessing disparate readers to join together and change things for the better, how ever small that change may be. Blogs create communities with great power and a real potential to make a difference. For example, the blog driven results of the Rodarte/Juarez fiasco. So blogs haven’t over thrown any dictators yet, but its a start. Communities, and the power for good they embody, make me optimistic.

And hot chocolate on cold, grey days.

It’s hard for me to feel optimistic as I have quite major depression, but even I feel like the worlds a better place on a nice, fresh spring day when birds are chirping and you can smell freshly mown grass.

The support and dedication of other people gives me optimism. Today I ran my first ever race, a half marathon. What amazes me is that someone was running whilst pushing a girl in wheel chair for the entire race. He PASSED me on the huge two mile hill and finished around at around 2 hours 10. This, combined with the support everyone gave each other to carry on for the charity they were given, reduced me to tears at several points today.
Seeing people put SO much effort in to something gives me the optimism I need 🙂

  28. Jenni

I feel optimistic when people go out of their way to do something nice for me. Especially when you least expect it. A group of teenagers that you wouldn’t want to run into on a dark night held the train door open for me while I ran down the platform last week and it reminded me that although we hear so many negative things on the news, in the papers and on the radio about all the terrible things that people do, there are still a lot of good people out there. I always try to be kind and considerate to everyone and although I may not get it in return all the time, it’s worth it for the times I do.

Amazing giveaway by the way, I love Paul Smith scents! Especially for men.

  30. So, what makes me feel optimistic.

When I have done my best in whatever I do: made my goal, done the research, have a feeling of accomplishment, that makes me feel optimstic. That I can be proud of what I have done, and be happy (and optimistic) about what comes next. 🙂

  33. What makes me optimistic is my boyfriend. 3 years and a half later, with him by my side, everything is still looking brighter. My life can only be good with him.

  36. What makes me optimistic is everything I’ve already achieved and overcome in 34 years. I learnt several languages, set up my own business in my adopted country (UK), have taught hundreds of people to speak French.

  37. Honestly, the thing that makes me happiest is my job. I’m not a qualified Physiotherapist yet, but I worked as a technician in a hospital for 3 years and am studying at university now! I wanted to work with people and ‘fell into’ physio, and I’m glad I did. Doctors don’t hang around a lot, have little patient contact, nurses are so so busy and don’t actually bring and real term benefit. As a physio, you build a genuine rapport with patients, trust, and a small friendship. I can’t begin to wonder how much that must mean to an elderly dear losing her confidence and independence.

Anyway, the one thing that makes me happy is reaching a target with my patients. Physiotherapy is not about massage and manipulation at all. I worked on an elderly and gastro AND respiratory ward for 3 years, and just being able to walk to to toilet after weeks of hard works is a milestone to these people. Independence is taken for granted, and I never will take it for granted. I absolutely love it.

Also, seeing old folks being romantic brings a smile to my face. Its so nice to think that romance stays alive. <3

  38. I think what makes me the most optimistic is the passion and dedication I see in some people; it goes well and beyond a ‘job well done’, I actually believe it has the power to change the world. I see a lot of it in the beauty blogging community, and that’s what made me start my own blog. It empowers me to become a stronger person myself 🙂

Living in London makes me feel optimistic!

A born and bred Londoner, I am still discovering new and exciting things that often amazes me and I love how unique and diverse the city is.

    It’s like Samuael Johnson said:

“Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”

  40. Laura Harrison, Make-up artist

I do think that optimism is a choice – you choose to see the best in people and things that happen. But, on the mornings when I’m feeling a bit tired or not as happy for whatever reason, seeing my little dog wagging his tail, so excited about me getting out of bed – it can’t fail to make me smile! His optimism is infectious!!
    @lauraharrison

  43. The nice gentleman on tube, who gave up his seat for me this morning as he realised I am pregnant. As we passed he said Congratulations and smiled at me. I didn’t even have to ask anyone. It is the first time it has happened since I found out 13 weeks ago :-)That makes me optimistic about people…

  44. There are many things which make me feel optimistic: when I open my eyes in the morning and hear birds singing, rainbow with a sunshine after heavy rain, seeing somebody laugh, especially a child, snowflake in my hand (of course with a glove^^), seeing my family, seeing achievements of another people, ant carrying a HUGE crumb…all that adds up to the one big optimism)))
Also knowing that all the trouble and problems will not last forever and eventually each on of us will see our own rainbow with a sunshine after a storm…
