Estee Lauder Clear Difference BB Creme

Lots of brands are bringing out products that help to tackle breakouts – particularly focussing on older women who, out of nowhere, suddenly start getting their teenage spots back. There’s plenty of discussion on why this happens, from too much sugar to hormonal influences, but the bottom line of it is that they just need to go! Estee Lauder Clear Difference BB Crème is designed to compliment any blemish treatments (notably their own Clear Difference line, but I don’t think you have to buy into the whole regime if you have something that’s working for you already).

One of the things that Lauder does really well is base, and the Clear Difference BB Crème is no different. This format, however, takes BB crème back to its roots of covering blemishes and blemishes along with a very decent SPF of 35. It’s fragrance free and oil free, with calming and hydrating ingredients – pretty much a perfect BB in the sense of the genre. Estee Lauder Clear Difference BB Crème launches in John Lewis on 7th April – I don’t like the price of £33 which seems an awful lot for a base but if you’re struggling to find something that compliments a treatment regime and gives excellent coverage, it’s well worth a go, in my opinion.

Will try and get a sample of this, I really need a good cover concealer for my cheek area

    Thanks

  2. I’d be interested in this purely because in summer I like a base with a lot of SPF, however the price is a bit off putting.

  3. The problem with make-up products aimed at spotty skin (like mine…) is that they are almost always extremely drying and make dry parts look much worse. If you consider that a lot of spot treatments are quite drying, the last thing you want is a make-up product that makes the dryness more obvious and yet it seems no brands have cottoned on to this!

The market is crying out for more bases that are moisturising whilst still good for acneic skins; a product for such skin types doesn’t necessarily need to be oil-free (I tend to avoid most products that are oil-free as I have dehydrated yet spotty skin so my skin looks better with a bit of added oil) it just needs to only include certain oils.

Anyway, sorry for the long comment and I’ll definitely give this a swatch when it’s out to see how it performs xx

    Hi Sascha
I like long comments, as I learn from them

    Thanks

  5. Very intesting, as I’m suddenly having lots of spots at 37 (eating way too much sugar since January, so I’m glad you’ve written it could be that, I’ll try to cut down), but the price is so off-putting, and I’ve just bought my first CC creams which I like because they cover quite nicely.
