So, this is something very different from Estee Lauder. Meet Amber Mystique, a spice and oud laden fragrance. I am not fond at all of Oud and had to wait quite a long time in the dry down for any other notes to surface – I think if you don’t like a particular scent then it’s all you can smell if it’s in something.
Amber Mystique has got everything you’d expect from an oriental; amber, oud, leather, incense and patchouli – and of course floral notes to stop it being just too over the top. If you like this type of fragrance, it’s a beauty and will send your olfactory senses straight to the Bazaar. It doesn’t fade away either – it’s a stayer, so the initial notes pack a tremendous punch while the dry down is softer but without losing the exotic notes. It’s £110 previewing at Harrods in June. I am pretty sure it will sell like hot cakes.
