Essie Fall Winter 2013
I think this is the strongest collection from Essie that we’ve had for many years – there isn’t one single shade that I’m not dying to get on my nails.
It’s not always the case that the reality is as good as the press release and promotional pictures but in this case, it certainly is so! The killer colour is For The Twill Of It (the main shade in the promo) – a multi-dimensional, spilled-petrol kind of colour, but also After School Boy Blazer, a creamy, not-quite-navy blue.
So, in my shot from the red going clockwise: Twin Sweater Set, Cashmere Bathrobe, After School Boy Blazer, The Lace Is On, For The Twill Of It, Vested Interest. They’re launching this month at Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 each – I’ll get them swatched as soon as I possibly can but my top tip is For The Twill of It. They’re not quite on-line yet but coming any day now.

Beautiful! I managed to get my hands on 4 of the 6 in Boots last week – I’m wearing for the twill of it on my nails now – day five and no chips or top topcoat! x

Managed to get all of them except after school boy blazer! I asked about them and was told they were sent very low stock and didn’t receive the blue. Essie, if you’re reading.. please sort it out!
Hah, these have somehow managed to get me excited about autumn/winter shades. Maybe I CAN manage without pastels and neons for the next few months.
