I’ve got a very soft spot for Erno Laszlo skin care even though it is outrageously expensive. Erno Laszlo reformulated Phormula cream several times and its last version was actually a bespoke formulation for Marilyn Monroe to help heal her appendix scar.
Laszlo is a heritage brand for sure, originating in 1927, but recently has had new life breathed into it and more modern formulations based on the originals but with a 2013 ingredient tweak here and there. I used Phormula 6-9 on and off all of last winter and it really does help the skin to stay in top condition – I used it particularly when I detected any dryness and it saw it off overnight, pretty much.
This version, for eyes, is light as a feather and so cooling on the area. It’s aiming to target what most eye creams do; namely firming, lifting, brightening, reducing puffiness and wrinkles. Because I’ve yet to come across a Laszlo product that isn’t utterly luxurious and efficacious, there’s no reason to assume this won’t be pretty damn good. I’ve only tested it once so far and instantly cooling and skin calm it certainly is.
I don’t know the price.. it doesn’t launch til September (nto Harrods) so we’ve got til then to brace ourselves.. but I’m sure it will be at the top end of luxury.
