If I’m honest, I really didn’t expect to like the Elie Saab Resort Collection Fragrance as much as I do. It’s rather multi-dimensional – the blurb says that the fragrance is released in waves and it’s actually true; it seems to be constantly on the change until it settles to a kind of gourmand-skin scent (is that weird? imagine yourself rolled in fig and orange infused caramel and you’re some way towards it!).
Elie Saab Resort Collection Fragrance is ALL summer – white jasmine and frangipani flower make it so – but it’s not a fresh summer scent; it’s more a fragrant story of those hot, hot days that are a bit sultry and make you languid.
The fragrance is mastered by Francis Kurkdjian (he of the perfumed bubble installations) so it’s never going to be a samey-samey perfume; I’m slightly obsessed by the bottle which is just beautiful – it’s a limited edition so if you want to try this you may need to be quick about it. Elie Saab Resort Collection Fragrance is £47 and it’s already available HERE.
NB: I’ve just checked stocks at HouseofFraser (online) – 7 left – I knew it would be a quick seller, plus you get a free pouch with it that’s rather lovely (blue).

I got this fragrance a few days ago & it smells so sweet, not in a candiesh way as Elie is not about candy & way too far from it. The best thing about it is the heavy gorgeous bottle I just bought it because I want to change a little from the freshly picked flowers that almost all my fragrances smell about. Nothing is ground breaking about this resort collection.
No, there isn’t anything ground breaking but I thought it was a pretty summery scent – and like you I tend to veer towards flower scents so it’s a good change.
