I’ve had quite a few requests to see what’s in my make-up bag – it’s very rare for something to find a permanent place in my bag because trying new things is what I do for a living – but I definitely have favourites that I go back to. I’ve started with bases and will cover colours in another post, but I’m pretty much hooked on the following:

B. Anti-Ageing Foundation
B. Anti-Ageing Foundation

B’s anti-ageing foundation, B. Youthful, is one of those very forgiving foundations that not only gives great coverage (it’s mid coverage – not heavy) but feels more or less weightless on the skin. It contains tetrapeptides and has SPF15. The promise is that you’ll see a reduction in lines and wrinkles in 4 weeks; I think that’s hard to quantify and because I’m chopping and changing a lot it would be difficult for me to tell, but without a doubt, it softens skin, hydrates and gives a beautiful finish. You can see this bottle is pretty sought into! I think the B. foundations are the stand-outs from the B. range; exceptional quality for the money (£7.99 at Superdrug).

Clinique CC Daily Face
Clinique CC Daily Face

When I’m not using the B. Anti-Ageing Foundation, I’m using Clinique’s CC HERE . I had a ‘yes’ moment when I tried this at the launch – it’s brilliant for evening out skin tone and giving a natural finish on the skin. I’d say it acts more like a foundation than anything so the CC is pretty much neither here nor there but it’s tone-evening qualities are the best I’ve come across. It’s £28 at John Lewis.

DMK Concealer
DMK Concealer

I’ve always hesitated to blog this even though I have used it for several months because it is so hard to find. There are UK stockists but they tend to distribute to skin clinics so it’s a question of finding your nearest one.

DMK Concealer Open

It is, beyond a doubt, the most effective concealer I’ve used. The consistence is quite thick but it doesn’t seem to seep into crinkles and the coverage is excellent.. I use it on dark circles if they’re bad (mainly I take the ‘ignore’ approach on my dark circles.. I’ve always had them and reckon that if I don’t worry about them, then they’re not a problem). Honestly, amazing.

Bourjois Cream Blush
Bourjois Cream Blush

This is another instant love product. I was given all four shades and they went straight into the make-up drawer and I’ve been using them ever since. They’re just so easy to blend, give a ‘healthy’ look rather than a made-up look (although you can build them) and the texture is a dream. These launch on 15th May so grab one!
