Crown Brush Travel Trios

Right on time, Crown Brush Travel Trios are emerging () to slip into your makeup bag for your travels with 12 separate colourways. You could easily get away with one for day and one for night as they come in mattes, sheens and shimmers. With budget brands, I’m on the look out for talc – and sure enough, it’s top of the ingredient list with these, BUT, instead of the hard and dusty formulas I associate with too much talc, they’re smooth as anything.

Beginning with a selection of brights (yes, blogger nightmare – samples are labelled on the outer packaging only and not on the palette so once they’re out of the box I can’t connect the dots, but can tell you they’re named for holiday destinations!).

I’ve swatched in their trios, starting with the violet shades, through blue and finishing with that red!

As far as neutrals go, I think this is a lesson in how many nude shades you actually need. I’ve made eye looks with only the three colours from a couple of the palettes and realise that with the right combination, you really don’t need much more than that. If you find the right Crown Brush Travel Trios selection for you, then you realise why half your bigger nude palettes sit unused – it’s like the best of a big palette pared down into shades you will actually make use of.

The middle palette is one I could use all the time. Anyway, I think the Crown Brush Travel Trios are very reasonable at £5.99 and well worth an introduction to the brand’s make up offerings if you haven’t yet dipped in. You can find them on the Crownbrush site HERE from 17th July.

  2. I separate things out when I open them to left right centre (if it’s 3 items) or place the product on top of the box once I have a look so that I can see packaging names and not get confused due to all these labelling!

I should have done that.. but just didn’t think.
