Just when I thought I was over ‘designer’ shampoos, along comes Concoction with a concept that I really do love. It’s launching into Selfridges in July.
So, the idea is that depending upon what your hair needs, you can choose from a base blend that is then mixed with two of eight super-shots of concentrated serum (they’re full of actives and vitamins) so your hair gets what it absolutely needs. The Concoction Mixologists can blend 256 different versions, so if there isn’t something for you, you need to have a word with your hair!
The base blends are fragranced in four options; Lemon Verbena, Bakhour, Rosemary & Mint or Black Pepper Citrus. In the base, ingredients such as oligopeptides, essential oils and Vitamins E, Pro Vitamin B5 and static reducers are included and the range is silicone and paraben free. The super-shots are Back to your Roots, Beautiful Brunette, Curl Me Up, Gimme More Moisture, High Definition Blonde, Ravishing Red, Thermo-Straight and Turn up the Volume).
I was expecting Concoction to cost a fortune.. it’s £14. Result! Find it HERE.

The concept is so great…thanks for this post, I want to try this out!!!
To think that Alex Epstein from The Apprentice is behind this brand! Genius.
