Color Wow Tried & Tested

I had a go this morning with Color Wow, and yes, it’s pretty good. The formulation is a sort of fibrous powder that you brush over greys – I only have very few greys but they’re totally covered now and blend in nicely to the rest of my hair. The only thing I’d say is that if you have greys at the sides by your ears, it’s quite hard to get the powder not to go onto the skin, so take extra care in that area otherwise you’ll end up with a 5 o’clock shadow look. There’s some oil in the formulation that gives it staying power. Otherwise, it’s pretty damn genius and takes only a few seconds to apply. I’d recommend it highly for the emergency beauty cupboard when you know that you aren’t going to get to the hairdresser immediately.

I also noticed that the same brand that makes Color Wow (Federici brands owned by John Frieda) also make Miracle Glo Perfecting Glotion. It comes with a description that reads “Upon impact Miracle Glo delivers a baby-faced, cherub like glow recalling the bloom of youth.” I don’t think so. It’s one of the worst and most laughable product descriptions I’ve come across and I cannot believe for a nano-second that any product will bring you close to baby-face or cherub-like. Silly.
