Color Me Foundation Applicator

So, this is interesting… ages ago I tried out a battery charged ‘foundation patter’ from Japan (or Korea) called the Touch Face (HERE) and the Color Me Foundation Applicator seems to be a more sophisticated version of that. Color Me, which uses a pulsating sponge, claims a ‘clinical’ where women report the gadget cuts application time in half and 70% of women reported an immediate improvement in make-up evenness. The first part strikes me as a bit of nonsense..it takes me seconds to apply foundation unless it’s for something special and even then, it only takes me a few more seconds!

With the original Touch Face review, it gave a good finish but unless you are microscopically staring at your foundation finish, I don’t think you’re really going to see enough of a difference for the lay out. Color Me suggest you change the sponge every seven uses, therefore ensuring that you are still laying out money til the day you give up foundation.

This is a bit of a ‘hmmm’ product for me, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Boots or a similar brand brought out an equivalent. Better be good! At the moment,  the Color Me Foundation Applicator is an Ulta exclusive ($54), but I will say that the consumer reviews on it are very positive.

This sounds a bit gimmicky to me, especially when the foundation tools market is already quite full…

Well, thanks to you, I am happy with the Touch Face. I still use it today with all my foundations from creams to powders.

I haven’t been tempted by this one because I don’t think I can modify it as easily as I did with the touch face.

Of course the best seamless foundation look is an airbrush, nothing beats that!
