[unpaid/sample] I’m seeing a lot of really full pigment lipsticks that are taking me way out of my comfort zone. However, I’m quite happy to be taken there – although I can’t see I’ll deviate from my sheers in any meaningful way.

These creams from Code 8 are certainly a wake up call that brighter days are ahead. They really are super pigmented and so sleek in the application. It’s interesting that on the box, it’s suggested that you apply the first coat and then blot before applying the second – you’ll get even stronger saturation that way and hopefully stronger hold, too. I can’t remember the last time I saw anyone recommending a good old blot!

Shades from left to right are: St Germain (part of the new collection of creamy nudes), Rosso Vivo (limited edition) and Roaring 20s.

Above, Roaring 20’s, Rosso Vivo and St Germain. St Germain is my favourite from these – it’s my kind of nude with an element of warm pink to it. It’s still a robust shade but just not a shouty one.

In the swatch from top to bottom: Roaring 20’s, Rosso Vivo and St Germain. They’re £28 each HERE other than Rosso Vivo which for some reason (other than it’s red) is £40 HERE.
