[unpaid/sample] I’m never happier than when I have a new lip gloss to review – gloss, and preferably a glossy balm, is my thing and I would hate to count the number I have, but whatever it is, it’s six more now :-). Small brands, such as Cosmetics a la Carte, have to really consider new launches – it’s expensive and risky to launch anything outside of what you absolutely know sells well. Pavilion Road is spot on for current trends in a sheer bronzed plum.

Cosmetics A La Carte Sheer Brilliance Gloss Pavilion Road Review

Pavilion Road is second along in the Sheer Brilliance line up. I’ll go through all of them as a reminder but the thing to note here is the word ‘brilliance’. These glosses are infused with micro shimmer which immediately gives them next level lightfulness. That kind of lustre is helpful in creating a smooth look lip that’s full of light and life.

Actually, there are quite a few shades in the collection that I really like – next on my preference list is Hampstead (they’re all named for the somewhat smarter London places – I’ve yet to see a lipstick or gloss called Catford!) in a nude shade with a mauvish undertone.

In the swatch line up, from bottom to top: Pavilion Road, Hampstead, Chelsea, Holland Park, Pimlico and Park Lane.

This is Hampstead – an instant lip smoother.

And the new one – Pavilion Road – which is launching today. It’s worth a browse HERE to see the selection of 14 wearable colours – Holland Park is the one to go for if you like a very sheer but shimmering lip. They’re pricy for gloss at £32 but so on the money for colours and vibrancy.
