Two Clinique posts in one day! Clinique are knocking out new product faster than almost any other brand at the moment – I really think they’re shaking off their old image and emerging to be the butterfly of the year.
So, Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum is so fresh onto my desk (it arrived by bike moments ago) that I haven’t had a chance to try it – this post is flagging up that it’s new and what the serum is all about.
The claim is that it’s the most powerful yet gentle serum that Clinique has ever developed. Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum addresses uneven tone, dark spots, dullness, lines & wrinkles and firming using specifically paired ingredients that work better together than apart. When I look through the ingredient list, I’m like, “what isn’t in this?”! Red algae, hyaluroinic acid, grape extract, Vitamin C, Ergothioneine, salicylic acid, barley extract, Glucosamine – need I go on? It’s certainly weighty in good-for-skin ingredients.
An interesting note on Clinique’s allergy test claims. They say that initially, all products are formulated without known allergens. Then every product is tested 12 times on 600 people. If even one of the 7,200 applications provokes a reaction, they start from scratch. Interesting.
Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum is launching at Selfridges on 6th June and nationwide from 27th June for £48.

Just thought I’d let you know that Clinique have something else new up their sleeve – their first beauty device in the form of a sonic cleansing brush: http://www.iheartbeauty.net/2014/06/clinique-sonic-system-purifying-brush.html
With regards to the serum, I think it looks great and will definitely be getting it! Alex x
Perfect! I will post it tomorrow and link you in – if that’s okay? xx
Course it is! Alex X
That is some rigorous testing! When you see mascara ads proclaiming, as tested on 23 people, it makes you realise how seriously some brands take live trials, and how some just use it as a number to add to the marketing blurb.
