Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour

Chubby Contour

So far, I’m defeated by contouring… but if anything’s making it look easy, it’s the new Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight. Two sticks – lots of tricks.

They’re part of the Clinique Hello Cheekbones collection above, launching on 6th February 2015. The Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight has pearly, light reflecting pigments for those light-hit killer cheekbones, while Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour gives depth and definition. They’re both winging their way to me right now so I’ll have swatches tomorrow.

I feel slightly less enthusiastic about the Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palettes – they come in four different shade combinations and the Defining Nude palettes sounds the most promising. I think it’s Defining Roses in the picture above and I rarely touch those shades, so maybe when I get my eyes on them, I’ll have a total change of heart!

Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight cost £19 each and Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palettes are £28. Keep your eyes peeled for the swatch!

These look lovely, but Boots No7 does something very similar already…would be interested to see how they compare!

I agree because there is such a price difference- I have heard the No7 stick highlighter is good though

I haven’t seen the No.7 one at all.. I’ll see if I can pick it up in store. x

  2. I’ve become completely obsessed with contouring recently – I don’t really know why though as I don’t think it does much for me but I just feel like my whole make-up look is slightly cleaner, plus my nose looks slimmer and my cheekbones higher 😉

I can’t wait for these to arrive as I’ve mostly been using powder formulas xx

  3. I’ve tried the contour/highlight stick from Em Cosmetics, and I have to say I loooove it! I ran out of it so I’ve been using my bronzer to contour lately- but it’s not as good as cream contour imo. I will totally buy this- it’s $10 less than the Em Cosmetics one, and I’m not fond of cream stick highlighters so I’ll skip on that!

  4. I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the products when you receive them! I’ve only ever done a basic powder contour, and would love to try a cream product! Looks similar to the Tarte contouring pencil, and that looked amazing!

I can’t wait to try the highlighter and the palette. The palette reminds me of the discontinued Clinique ‘Fresh Bloom Allover Colour’ when it was three different colors in the pan with a flower design. I used to sweep a large fluffy or skunk brush over all the colors and use it to give subtle color and warmth, instead of using the colors separately.

I’m so lost when it comes to contour and highlighting so I’m looking forward to your review!

This does look good, and I would love to see how it compares to the No7 one!
