I thought I would do some quick swatches of the Chanel spring 2014 lips products that I have here. First up is Chanel Glossimer in Sonate – a very juicy shade of reddish-peach. It’s a very high shine gloss but you don’t get a lot of colour on the lip at all; I’d call this a super-sheer shade that really doesn’t translate very well on the lip to anything other than a vaguely tinted gloss.

On the other hand, you cannot complain at the pay-off from Chanel Rouge Velvet La Diva – a gorgeously pretty pink with a gentle sheen but lots of colour.

Chanel Rouge Velvet Melodieuse is more of a coral pop – really vibrant and exciting on the lip. Texture-wise, it’s beautifully creamy, like La Diva, faintly perfumed, and doesn’t seem to seep into cracks on the lips – my lips looked lovely and smooth wearing this. So that’s it..nothing complicated, just a few swatches in case you’re tempted.
Melodieuse is £25, HERE.
La Diva is £25, HERE.
Sonate is £21, HERE.

Hi Jane,
Everytime I see CHANEL Spring 2014 swatches, I can’t help but be drawn to La Diva! It’s not the most practical color, but I’d love to wear it out once or twice 🙂
