I’ve shopped my own foundation wardrobe here from last summer and fallen for Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid all over again. A friend asked me the other day if I was a person who looks better in summer than winter. I thought at the time it was odd, but the more I think about it, the more I think she is right. Summer light and a warmer tone really does suit me better. The ‘bonne mine’ look is really me – I love a lighter-feeling tint that’s glowy and dewy and just sits softly on my skin rather than masking it entirely. It’s a look that I think suits older skin in general – especially in summer because you’re not contending with too much powder within a more dewy formula. It’s a fresher look, I guess.
I use my Artis foundation brush for this to get a good diffusion, top with a peachy creme blush (using the same brush) and it’s just perfection! The only thing that may be a negative for some is that it’s SPF15 which may not be enough for some.
I use the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue but the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid is a mid point between that and a more full foundation. It’s £34 – HERE – I’ve opted for the site with free postage on this because it’s not a budget product.
