Burberry SS16 Runway Palette

Has anything ever been more frustrating to photograph than this! I have taken about 20 pictures and still cannot get it right. So apologies up front. I’m not doing it justice and I’m very annoyed about it (insert cross face emoji here!).

So, the Burberry SS16 Runway Palette is a thing of beauty with exquisite lace detail that is just done to perfection. It has an almost champagne cast to it colour wise which means that it’s warmer on the skin than it looks.

Obviously, the Burberry SS16 Runway Palette is for highlighting – for adding those little light catchy places on the face, but if you can bear to dig in, I’m thinking summer shins, shoulders and arms. It gives a silvery twinkle to the skin (personally, I wouldn’t wear on my face) that’s a glisten rather than a sheen.

The stark January sun doesn’t serve this palette well – it needs warmth to let the light happen. That said, although I’ve run the brush over it and put it on my arm, the beauty collector in me is just saying don’t touch this pretty thing! The shade I’m showing is White and there is a warmer shade too, in Nude Gold.

Don’t take the white too literally but because it’s definitely a warm white but if you’re a pale skinned person who finds all highlighter just too hot for your tone (as they tend to be), then this is going to make you happy!

The Burberry SS16 Runway Palette is £45 HERE.

I ordered this yesterday evening and received it this morning. I can’t bring myself to touch it yet but it’s so beautiful, and the service from the Burberry website is great! I kind of want nude gold too but my bank account says no! X

  2. I LOVE the lace detailng! I would love nude gold but I’m on a no buy January!

The white highlighters are so hard to photograph, like Becca SSP Pressed Pearl. They’re very nice in person though! I prefer these to warmer tones. The lace detail is so pretty.

A swatch would have been useful
You could buy your own one for collection purposes but if sent one I think it’s pretty stingy not to let us (potential buyers) see the shade.
    Oh well 🙁
Still love the blog I’m just being honest sorry

The reason there is no swatch is that I literally couldn’t get it to show up on my skin in any meaningful way.. I was just left with some twinkles and little of the ‘white’ – lighting conditions yesterday were awful as I said in the post. I didn’t have a swatch worth showing but I certainly did spend time trying to capture it. It’s on my list of things to when we have a properly light-catchy sunny day to add one in. Maybe add manners to your to-do list?

Am I being a bit dim, or is “palette” an unusual name to have given a single colour? Like…palettes are either a range of colours, or the board you mix them on, and this is neither. Hmm.

It’s very pretty, but I already got the pink Dior one this week and I can’t get both!

Yes I know what you mean… I guess it’s refering to the casing rather than the interior.. maybe? It’s a good point!

  6. I’m obsessed with the packaging of this and the embossing is beautiful!
