I’ll start out by saying the Benefit Hydra-Smooths aren’t out til September, but once we start heading into autumn, these shea and mango butter laden lippies will be most welcome.

As you can see, the packaging is in the same Art Deco style as Benefit’s previous recent releases. They’re categorised into three finishes: Sheer, Medium and Medium-Full.

First up, the Medium-Full Finish Lip Colors: above from bottom to top Fling Thing, Dare Me and Wing Woman. These are deeper in pigment and brighter on the lip.

The Medium Finishes above, and swatched, below:

From bottom to top: Talk Flirty, (the middle one has an ink stamp over the name so it’s quite hard to tell which it is.. I think it is Lip Service) Frisky Business.

And the Sheer Finish shades, Air Kiss (pink) and Tutti Cutie (orange) swatched below.

These are moist, moist and moister. I think that means that more regular application will be necessary but they’re so soft and balmy on the lip it seems a small price to pay. I also think the Sheers are perfect for topping up a lip stain that gets drying really quickly.
When Benefit Hydra-Smooth Lip Colors launch, these will cost £15 each.
