It seems quite unbelievable that a comprehensive beauty brand like Benefit doesn’t actually have a liquid foundation, but nonetheless, it is currently a gap in their product portfolio.
However, as of April 2012, all that will change with the introduction of Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Liquid Foundation, SPF25. Actually, it is a little more than just a liquid foundation, with skincare elements that boost brightening and plump the skin.
There are nine shades – the darkest of which is really quite dark so should suit ethnic skin types, and at the presentation today, it was emphasised that the greatest of care has been taken to ensure the darker tones have no chalky edge to them.
The foundation is beautifully light and breathable on the skin, and as it’s oil free, shouldn’t exacerbate any oiliness if your skin is prone. I’ve got a couple of samples here so will swatch when I have decent daylight, but each box comes with a sample of Porefessional (brilliant product) so you can give that a try if you haven’t already. I also noticed a little pocket in the box (empty) and am hoping that’s for further sampling options at some stage. Or, maybe it is just so the bottle doesn’t rattle around in the box.. I don’t know.
