Becca has some lovely products at the moment.. I’m a bit late to the Becca Shadow & Light Contour Powder party – I’ve used it as a bronzer/blush because my contour skills are nil but nonetheless, I like it a lot.
What’s quite weird about Becca Shadow & Light Contour Powder is that the darker shade looks lighter in the swatch than the light shade! The first shade has a very golden element making it great for bronzing – the second colour is more subtle and less bronzing if you like, making it perfect for contouring. Swirled together, it’s the right bronze for my tone which is olive without being overtly shimmery. I can’t detect any orangey tones.
The powder itself is very soft – almost a little moist and blends beautifully – apparently it absorbs oil so handy for oily skin types. To use as a simple contour, follow the 3 + C rule by sweeping your brush loaded with the deeper looking shade in a number 3 shape starting at the forehead, dipping in over the cheeks and then back out over the jaw. Over the top, form a letter C with your brush loaded with the lighter looking colour from forehead (side of.. don’t start in the middle!), past eye and onto cheek bone. It’s £34 at SpaceNK but still seems to be on pre-order HERE.
